The Man I Knew

I’ve never participated in “Throwback Thursday”  but today I want to.  I need to look at a happy time,  a carefree time, a time when we got up in the morning and thought what wonderful things we could do today.   For many years,  we waterskied almost every day in the summer — and Bo loved it as much as I did.  I last skied two years ago;  Bo hasn’t been on his slalom for eight years.  I finally gave away his ski.

What a great photo. Hang on to those good memories.
    What is ‘Throwback Thursday’?

  2. I recently figured it out. It’s actually on Facebook. On Thursdays people post pictures of the past and write about the past. I’m not a Facebook user but I do link my blogs to it, so I guess that puts me on Facebook a lot more than I should.

W hat an awesome picture. Photos are our glimpse of the past and a trigger to our memory.
I didn’t know of Throw Back Thursday and think it’s an neat idea. Thanks for sharing.

I love your picture of Bo. I love Throw Back Thursday but I only do it on my blog. I really don’t do a lot with Facebook except keep up with the grandkids. It helps me to keep the ‘old’ memories alive

  6. I love the idea of Throwback Thursday and funnily enough today I arrived in Malta where I spent many family summer holidays and today is the day my father died 11 years ago. I found myself remembering lots of happy memories, even though I didn’t know about Throwback Thursday! And what a fabulous photo!

I love this picture. I had one summer at the lake when my life allowed that kind of freedom and I tried and tried and tried to learn to slalom…it was not to be! I was just looking at a picture of mom with her golf clubs and her visor and her foursome. So sad what this disease does to our loved ones….thanks for sharing such a wonderful #TBT

That’s my favorite picture of Uncle Bo! It reminds me of the Checkmate and skiing on the Rancocas Creek…great times with you and Uncle Bo.

  9. The good old days captured by picture.
